Synergy Dance Company

Synergy Dance Company is interested in dancers who exhibit a strong work ethic, great attitude and love for dance. Competition is an important part of a dancer’s education but we balance that with educational opportunities and feel that there is more to a dancer’s training than competing. Our SDC team attends one or two conventions per year and 2-3 group competitions. Specific technique classes are devoted to teaching our dancers more than just a routine and we take pride in offering a variety of experiences to our team. We are devoted to developing the best performers possible while instilling qualities and values that will last a lifetime. Our Synergy staff is personally involved. We love our students and we are determined to teach our dancers positive sportsmanship, trust and self-esteem.

Dancers are required to attend classes twice per week with separate classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and technique. In addition we also offer modern, lyrical, contemporary, drill team, acro dance and hip hop dance styles to our dancers through extra classes, guest teachers and master classes. We begin accepting dancers into our SDC program at age 5 with a minimum of two years dance instruction. All class placement is determined by the dancer’s ability to meet the outlined skills assessed for each level. Dancers placed inappropriately are at a risk for injury, so age and strength are carefully considered when Ms. Sherrie and staff decide placement collectively. Dancers undergo a twice yearly personal evaluation by Ms. Sherrie where their progress is accessed and recommendations are made.

What Makes the Synergy Dance Company Unique?

Many parents ask what makes Synergy Dance Company different…our number one goal is your dancer!!!!

  1.  We have a family friendly environment with our focus on positive reinforcement from teachers that are educated, experienced and really love their students.  Parents have been quoted as saying “Synergy focuses on the whole child”.
  2. Company classes are closed and not open to the public so you know each class is tailored individually to your dancer’s level and with 7 different levels we are able to offer optimal quality instruction to all of our company students.
  3. All students receive weekly face time with the Ms. Sherrie, the director, whose quality, loving touch can be seen in all the classes!  Ms. Sherrie knows every company family and student!
  4. Because our studio is not too large or too small each child is able to feel valued, special and important while also receiving a quality, balanced dance education.  Ms. Sherrie feels very strongly that all dancers should have an equal part in the team and treats all students equally, nurturing each of them individually to become the best dancers and students possible.
