Ms. Deanna is from Gonzales, Louisiana and has been training for 20+ years in the dance arts. She developed most of her skills at Center Stage Performing Arts Academy. The studio formed in her a passion for musical theater and Broadway, as well as jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and various other styles. She competitively danced with Center Stage for 8 years and was also a member of the high school dance team as a captain for 3 years. After graduating high school, she was a 3-year member of the LSU Tiger Girls dance team, where she competed at Universal Dance Association’s National Competition annually in both Hip-Hop and Jazz (Division 1A). During her time on the team, she also got to perform at football, basketball, and baseball games, traveled to various SEC events, and even witnessed the 2019 College Football National Championship in uniform from the sidelines. Since graduating from LSU, she continues her education at the University of St. Augustine for Health Science here in Austin in pursuit of a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She loves working with young dancers on strength and technique as well as evolving their movement quality through different styles of choreography.
